Recycling + Free Stuff
in Prince George's County

Prince Georgians care about recycling or just getting rid of our old junk and getting free stuff from others. It's also good to help our county landfills keep from filling up too fast since that costs us taxpayers. There are several Freecycle™ groups in Prince George's County, Maryland. Here are some of them in various parts of the county: northern: Adelphi to Hyattsville, Greenbelt, and Laurel; central: Bowie and Upper Marlboro; southern: Brandywine (Aquasco to Oxon Hill). You can find a list of others here.

Deron Deal created the Freecycle Network with this One Rule: everything posted must be free. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano, or an old door to be given away, it can be posted on the network. Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself? Respond to the posting directly and you just might get it. After that it is up to the giver to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure.
